About Paddle Boston
We starting in 1973 in the basement the MDC Norumbega Police Substation in Newton as the Charles River Canoe Service and then Charles River Canoe & Kayak.
Along with the The Charles River Watershed Association, whose focus on bettering the quality of the river brought incredible improvements, we brought boating back to the Charles River and have never stopped advocating for public access and recreational use of Boston's waterways.
Cross Country Skiing
We opened the Weston Ski Track at the DCR’s Leo Martin Golf Course in 1974. We offer night skiing, rentals, instruction and snow making along the scenic banks of the Charles River only one mile away from the Riverside T station!
We're open from skiing from mid December to Mid March. Our Snowmaking loop is up to 5km long and we can groom up to 15km with natural snow.
Ice Skating
In 2006 we partnered with Kendall Square Corporation to operate to open Skate @Canal District Kendall, in Kendall Sq., Cambridge. The rink’s mission, like all our operations, is to make outdoor recreation accessible to more people. We offer ice skating on a refrigerated and Zamboni-maintained surface, skate rentals, lessons, and a snack bar to warm any cold feet at the end of your skate

We believe in providing accessible and affordable recreation and we are proud of the work we do to serve the comminity.
We work closely with the Charles, Mystic and Neponset River Watershed Associations to further their work in protecting our waterways and invasive
We also partner with many community programs to provide free and reduced cost paddling, skiing and skating, this list includes: Boys and Girls Clubs, Youth Enrichment Services, Elevate Youth, Universal Access, Waypoint Adventure, Latino Outdoors and so many more!
